Sâkhtan (“To Build”) is one of the earliest tracks by Abolfazl Gathan, created during the formative years of his journey in hip-hop. More than a personal narrative, the song reflects on resilience, self-discovery, and the process of rebuilding one’s identity in the face of life’s challenges.
The inspiration for the opening verse came during a New Year’s Eve (Nowruz) night, when Gathan encountered a young street vendor whose determination left a lasting impression on him. Despite difficult circumstances, she carried herself with dignity and persistence. The moment became a source of reflection, not on hardship alone, but on courage, self-respect, and the quiet strength that often goes unnoticed in everyday life.
As the song progresses, the narrative moves beyond observation and turns inward. What begins as a tribute to perseverance gradually becomes an invitation for listeners to examine their own lives, confront their struggles, and take part in the continuous process of self-construction. The title, Sâkhtan, refers not only to building a future, but also to rebuilding character, purpose, and identity.
Musically, the track combines hip-hop with elements inspired by traditional Persian music, incorporating sounds reminiscent of the oud and tar. This fusion would later influence Gathan’s artistic direction and inspire a deeper exploration of Persian poetry, mysticism, and cultural themes in future works.

Sâkhtan was created in collaboration with Ari. The first verse is performed by Ari, while the second verse is performed by Abolfazl Gathan. The track represents one of the earliest collaborations between the two artists during their formative years in hip-hop.
ساختن
«ساختن» از نخستین آثار ابوالفضل گاثان در سالهای ابتدایی فعالیت او در موسیقی هیپهاپ است. این قطعه بیش از آنکه روایت یک اتفاق خاص باشد، درباره پایداری، خودشناسی و فرآیند بازسازی هویت فردی در مواجهه با دشواریهای زندگی است.
جرقه شکلگیری ورس نخست این اثر در یکی از شبهای سال تحویل زده شد؛ زمانی که گاثان با دختری دستفروش روبهرو شد که با وجود شرایط دشوار، با عزت نفس و استقامت به کار خود ادامه میداد. آن صحنه الهامبخش بخشی از ترانه شد و به نمادی از شجاعت و ایستادگی انسان در برابر محدودیتها تبدیل گردید.
با پیشرفت روایت، ترانه از توصیف یک مشاهده بیرونی فاصله میگیرد و به درون انسان بازمیگردد. «ساختن» شنونده را به تأمل درباره زندگی، ضعفها، تواناییها و امکان تغییر دعوت میکند. در اینجا مفهوم «ساختن» تنها به ساختن آینده محدود نمیشود، بلکه به بازسازی شخصیت، هویت و مسیر زندگی نیز اشاره دارد.
از نظر موسیقایی، این اثر تلفیقی از هیپهاپ و رنگآمیزیهایی برگرفته از موسیقی سنتی ایرانی است. استفاده از فضاهایی الهامگرفته از سازهایی چون تار و عود، زمینهای را ایجاد کرد که بعدها در شکلگیری مسیر هنری گاثان و علاقه او به شعر کلاسیک پارسی، مفاهیم عرفانی و روایتهای فرهنگی نقش مهمی ایفا کرد.
امروز «ساختن» را میتوان یکی از نقاط آغازین شکلگیری زبان هنری شخصی گاثان دانست؛ اثری که نشانههایی از مسیر آینده او را در خود دارد.
