«ز دانا» تکآهنگی مستقل از ابوالفضل گاثان است. این اثر با الهام از فضای روایتگری در ادبیات کلاسیک پارسی شکل گرفته و با اشارهای به فردوسی آغاز میشود؛ اشارهای که دروازه ورود به جهانی نمادین، رازآلود و تأملبرانگیز است.
درونمایه اصلی اثر به فاصله میان ظاهر و حقیقت میپردازد. «ز دانا» شنونده را دعوت میکند تا درباره روایتها، باورها و نیروهای پنهانی که بر زندگی روزمره تأثیر میگذارند پرسش کند. با این حال، اثر به دنبال ارائه پاسخهای قطعی نیست، بلکه بیش از هر چیز فضایی برای اندیشیدن و مشاهده ایجاد میکند.
